Declan joined the London operation of the HW Kaufman Group in March 2025 to lead the Non-Marine business encompassing North American, International and Global Specialty.

With over 35 years’ industry experience, past roles include leading the North American & International Wholesale Casualty business at Lockton Companies and serving on the Board of Gallagher UK as head of Broking & Placement. 

A strong negotiator with excellent market relationships at both trading and senior management level in London Europe and Bermuda, Declan has strong expertise in the placement of complex deals in tough sectors including Transportation, Power utilities & vegetation management, Construction, Mining and Life Science. 

His focus is to expand on the expertise within the business with a view to providing greater products and market selection for our clients, as well as driving ‘client first’ service and delivery.  

Declan is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
